Advocate Wealth
High net worth wealth management
For families and entrepreneurs managing substantial wealth, clarity and structure are essential. Advocate Wealth was established to meet that need through disciplined planning and fiduciary guidance. The firm was founded by Jonathan Amoia, Managing Director, who brings more than two decades of experience in capital markets, private equity, and wealth management. Headquartered in Buffalo with an additional presence in Rochester, Advocate Wealth serves clients throughout the eastern United States.
The firm provides integrated wealth advisory services designed to address both complexity and continuity. Its offerings include comprehensive financial planning, investment selection and oversight, estate and tax coordination, exit and succession planning, financial coaching, family office services, and structured next-generation transitions. Each service is delivered within a cohesive advisory framework rather than as isolated recommendations.
Serving Complex Family and Business Needs
Advocate Wealth works with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, families, and business owners. Many clients approach the firm during pivotal financial periods, such as business sales, generational transfers, or liquidity events. These moments require careful coordination across financial, legal, and tax considerations.
A key area of focus is business transition planning. Concentrated ownership in private enterprises or public companies presents unique planning challenges. Advocate Wealth provides structured guidance in valuation planning, liquidity preparation, governance alignment, and capital redeployment. The objective is to help clients navigate change while maintaining long-term stability.
The firm operates under a fiduciary standard, placing client interests first in every decision. Investment management, estate planning, and tax strategy are not addressed separately but are integrated into a unified structure. This approach reduces fragmentation and ensures that all recommendations support clearly defined objectives.
Another distinguishing aspect of the firm is its emphasis on understanding the deeper purpose behind wealth. Financial growth remains important, but decisions are evaluated in the context of family priorities, responsibilities, and long-term stewardship. This perspective shapes how capital is managed and transferred over time.
Investment Strategy and Partnership Structure
Advocate Wealth partners with TritonPoint Partners and Dynasty Financial to enhance its advisory capabilities. Through this relationship, the firm leverages the resources of its $125 billion partner, Dynasty Financial, while maintaining independence in its fiduciary oversight.
The investment process is disciplined and research-based. Clients gain access to selected managers across public markets, private equity, and alternative investments. Portfolio construction is tailored to align with liquidity needs, time horizons, and risk parameters.
The firm does not promote proprietary products. Instead, each opportunity undergoes structured due diligence and continuous evaluation. Risk exposure, manager consistency, and strategic alignment are regularly reviewed to ensure portfolios remain aligned with long-term planning goals.
Investment oversight is integrated with comprehensive financial planning. Tax-efficient structures, estate strategies, retirement modeling, and philanthropic planning are coordinated within a single framework. This alignment helps ensure that capital management decisions reinforce overall objectives.
A Defined Advisory Process
Advocate Wealth applies a structured methodology to guide clients from initial vision to sustained legacy.
Discovery and Financial Assessment
The engagement begins with a thorough evaluation of assets, liabilities, cash flow, and business interests. Family objectives and governance considerations are also reviewed. This establishes the planning foundation.
Purpose and Legacy Clarification
The firm works with clients to define the intent behind their wealth. This clarity informs gifting strategies, estate design, and long-term capital allocation.
Portfolio Design and Ongoing Oversight
Investment allocations are developed using disciplined criteria. Exposure across public and private markets is calibrated to align with risk tolerance and return objectives. Monitoring remains ongoing and systematic.
Tax and Estate Coordination
Advocate Wealth collaborates with legal and tax professionals, including a client’s established advisors, when appropriate. Strategies are coordinated to promote efficiency while supporting family cohesion.
Exit and Succession Planning
For clients with concentrated business holdings, structured planning addresses ownership transitions, liquidity timing, and capital reinvestment strategies.
Family Office Services
Where needed, the firm provides consolidated reporting, governance guidance, and coordination among advisors. This structure promotes accountability and operational clarity.
